I've been wanting to be a DJ since my first "clubbing" experience back in the 8th grade. Seeing Djs back then playing at events, school functions etc, the fact that this cool guy/girl behind a console can make a whole room of people dance like there's no tomorrow always enticed me. Growing up I've been close and passionate with all kinds of music. My parents being a huge influence. I recently found out my Dad used to listen to Techno (yes, he's awesome), my mom had me go learn Carnatic music for quite a while, friends and most of all through dance (No, I did not do ballet or Bharathanatiyam; I was a break dancer). And I've been hanging onto that passion for close to 10 years now. In time my taste for music also began to expand. From everything commercial (don't deny it, we all liked it at one point), to classic rock & roll - heavy metal to psy trance and so on, to where I am right now. And that many years later I've finally made it as a DJ, not a big one.. yet, but the start of it was big. For a new kid in the scene I got experiences big & priceless that no one I knew around had gotten at their initial stage. After a great beginning, I'm on that road where we all struggle to make a mark.
This blog is my way of contributing to the EDM scene, promoting other Indian & international artists, their music, as well as mine.
